Staff Training in The Netherlands

During the 28th, 29th and 30th of November 2023, we had the staff training of Shop Around The Block project in The Netherlands, hosting by Pro Work, our coordinator.

The November staff training in the Netherlands was hosted by Pro Work, our project coordinating organization. It lasted three days, from November 27 to 30, and aimed to bring together both project partners and local entrepreneurs to learn about hubs and web development.

We took advantage of the first day, November 28th, to have a small project meeting with the project team, in which we were able to discuss the development of the project, the progress made and the tasks still to be organized.
At least one person from each partner organization attended this meeting to discuss the project and its progress.

On the second day, November 29th, we had the opportunity to work at the Pro Work office, where we were given a training on Wix, the platform we will mostly use for the creation of the websites, and the meaning of hubs.

On the last day, November 30, Pro Work took the team and the entrepreneurs to visit some local ventures in the area to get inspired and share ideas and experiences.

First we were able to visit "Arco Pieper", A greengrocer, but we call them our "vegetable jeweler" in our municipality, who, in addi;on to special vegetables and fruit, also offers special;es like fresh ready-made meals and drinks. They are part of the "VERS OP SCHOUWEN" iniciative.

Afterwards we visit "Kaas Koetshuis", An old cheese shop with all kinds of Dutch but also European cheeses.

Finally we visit "Vleesboerderig Boot", A butcher, but with “honest” meat from our own soil in Zeeland. They are also part and even the ini;ator of the "VERS OP SCHOUWEN" concept.
